Born This Way

Asides from my love for fashion,
I am an aspiring DJ.
I live and breathe music.
I have always imagined what
I would wear if I were to ever DJ.
Maybe a dress with a pair converse or heels.
Just any style that is effortlessly cool,
chic, edgy, and sophisticated.
This is the same for these DJ fashionistas.
They have great taste in music and style.

"My job allows me to travel the world, exposing me to different
cultures and styles. I love Karl Lagerfeld, Jeremy Scott,
Riccardo Tisci, and Preen. I don't find it hard to dress up—I
feel comfortable in sexy, girly looks and prefer a high heel over
Converse when I'm DJing." — Leigh Lezark

"I just wear what fels good. Whether I'm in the DJ booth or in the
studio, I generally have on a variation of the same outfit: vintage
mixed with Dior Homme, Charlotte Ronson, or Rick Owens."
Samantha Ronson

"I am drawn to nineties grunge and punky pieces—black, leather,
lace, and anything sheer. It coincides with what I listen to at home,
but not necessarily the type of music you'll hear me DJing. I always
spin in huge heels, and inevitably it becomes a challenge to be on
my feet all night, but I do what I gotta do!" — Chelsea Leyland

"I'm into oldies and throwbacks, both musically and in the way
I dress. I like vintage clothing, and the vast majority of my sets
are made up of songs from the sixties, eighties, and nineties."
— Harley Viera-Newton

"When I started DJing, I was more outrageous. Now I have a
sleeker, more sophisticated fashion sense. The music doesn't define
my look, but I will reference bands like Chic or the Ramones
in an outfit." — Justine D
